Coaching, Training and Development
The craft of magic has changed considerably over the last 40 years, that’s why we offer magician training at the Vincent Academy. When I first started getting serious about magic, I only had two options at my disposal for learning the secrets of the craft. As luck would have it, I was able to source really great books from my local library. Books have become a constant source of inspiration for me. The ability to read, digests, assimilate and bring to life the written word has been my way. As far as I’m concerned, the true source of all knowledge will be found in the pages of a great book.
Master Magician Training & Mentoring
The second alternative is to receive expert coaching and training from a master magician. Someone who’s been there, done it and where is the T-shirt would pride. Once again, my path and destiny was set and it would be a wonderful privilege in my life to meet all of the great magicians whose books I devoured and learned from.
I mentioned this process simply because now in the 21st-century, how magicians learn magic is considerably different. Magic has become a commodity that you buy online. Downloadable videos and DVDs have completely transform the learning curriculum.
Some magicians spend more time watching YouTube rather than reading – there is nothing wrong with this approach as long as it is combined with reading the good old classic books.
The Vincent Academy
At The Vincent Academy, the one thing I encourage all of my students to do is send me a complete list of all the books they possess in their personal library. This personal inventories tells me precisely how my students are accessing magical secrets. Anyone who enrolls on one of my programs will be in individual who places a high premium on reading. This is something I encourage, insist and push all of my students to engage in.
The purpose of reading along with my personal coaching is for all of my students to experience the written word coming to life through my demonstrations and the teachings of the various techniques and routines.
- Do you enjoy reading?
- Do you struggle with reading?
- Is there a trick in your repertoire that you have learnt from a book on it?
- Would you like to receive expert coaching and training?
The simple questions are required for you to meditate on. Think about them; think about the books you’ve read not just magic but other books, novels, stories, educational books. The ability to read is a very important academic skill; I encourage all of you reading this blog to seriously consider how well you evaluate your reading skills.
Nevertheless, please get in touch with me if you would like to take your magic further. The Vincent Academy is here to support you in any way possible.
